I’m an experienced teacher and I’m recruiting students to teach English. I’ve been in NZ for more than 2 years and I know how it feels when you’re struggling to get the language.

I study in the University of Auckland and work part-time teaching Spanish, Portuguese and English. So if you’re struggling to understand the language and have grammar issues to discuss you can contact me and I’ll help you out!

Group classes: $15 per hour. Minimum of 2 students.
One-on-One: $40 per hour.

I teach 11-18 year olds how to write well and with confidence.

I teach structure, style, applied grammar, essay writing, research reports, literature analysis and more.
The courses are adapted to provide for the student’s individual needs.
It is excellent preparation for Secondary school, NCEA, Cambridge exams and ultimately Tertiary study.

The students attend a weekly lesson for 2 hours.
Students are given assignments to complete at home; I grade these and give full feedback and advice.
While the students are enrolled I am available for advice on any writing assignments and the parents receive a full weekly report on objectives reached and material covered during class.

I also offer advanced courses for those students who are able writers, but want to excel.

Our 14 year old son is currently attending an Institute of Excellence In Writing course taught by Yvonne. He did not want to do this course, but it has now become his favourite class. He loves it, and he does his homework every week without fail. Previous to attending the class, he had an intense dislike for writing of any type, and would do anything to avoid it, now he has passion for, and a love of words. He has so much fun during class, he wishes all teachers were just like Yvonne!
